Adela Senkubuge
A mother, wife, devoted family member, mentor, adviser and trainer among others with wide experience of working and supporting people living with HIV from different backgrounds, to ensure they live well and confidently with HIV. Currently working as a Services Adviser with an HIV Charity in Manchester, Adela carries out front line work with people living with HIV (PLIHIV), giving advice and support as well as advocacy work. Adela considers each woman’s experience of living with HIV; her goal being to enable and empower every woman LWHIV to make positive changes without devaluing their own role in life.
Adela is also passionate about women’s aspirations, and she is an HIV activist who is committed to make sure that women, and girls living with HIV thrive in the world ahead of them by contributing to the tasks that change attitudes to end gender inequality, and HIV stigma and discrimination.
In her free time, Adela likes trying food recipes from different countries, looking after her house plants and walking miles.
